I was ranting to Chris about killing the boredom of having our katsudon norms (yes.. chicken and beef) at a Japanese restaurant when our partner-in-crime AiWei rang the bell of dining at Tonkatsu instead.
What's Tonkatsu とんかつ?

It's a breaded, deep-fried pork cutlet, sliced into bite-sized pieces. Usually eaten with cabbage slices and miso soup. Yes. It's pork!
We could have guessed many of you would be aware of the whereabouts of Tonkatsu.

We must admit this was tasty. The sauce was infused well with herbs and chili, with soft egg plant. Complimentary bread were served to go with this tapas. Delicioso!
Crystal Jade Kitchen 翡翠小厨 @ Pavilion, KL
If it's Chinese food you're looking for while shopping at Pavilion, you should probably think of checking out Crystal Jade Kitchen located and easily spotted around the food quarters at Level 1 of the mall. This eatery has made quite a reputation and I'm pretty sure most of you have dined in their different concepts restaurants such as C-Jade Express or their Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao restaurant. As for me, I'm such a thrifty person who is very unwilling to spend more than ten bucks on a plate of wanton noodles (maybe once in a blue moon), but rather exhaust my limited capital on dim sums. I did so... still, here at Crystal Jade this time.
We dined in here right before charging towards Snowflake for desserts.
Baked BBQ Pork Pastry (Char Siew So) - RM7.50
Crispy and hot outer skin with tasty char siew fillings.
Rice Roll woth Shrimp Sauce - RM8.80
Love this as it was special, I rarely tasted my chee cheung fun with flavoursome shrimp sauce.
Snowflake Taiwanese Dessert Secrets 雪花栈 @ Pavilion, KL
I have heard so much about Snowflake but somehow will tend to 'forget' to pay this Taiwanese dessert house a visit every time when we're loitering around Pavilion.
Most of the time, Chris and I would have had ended up having tea time at the Loaf.
I was rescued from food boredom when my gals and I were lunching out and they brought me over to Snowflakes; a branch from SS15, managed by a Taiwanese couple sharing with us, the best of Taiwan desserts.
A cute gadget you would remember. The Beeping UFO would blink, noise out and vibrate alerting you that your order's ready!
Snowflake Bestseller - RM6.50
A huge bowl brimmed with grass jelly, grass jelly ice , taro balls and creamer. This chilling dessert that has the QQ texture with thirst quenching properties has my vote & I'll definitely return for more.
Drench in the creamer :)

It was a perfect Saturday afternoon for a girls day out. We even ditched the boyfriends.
