"Remember to Remember"

It's Grandpa's turn! Happy Birthday!

After celebrating my grandma's birthday last 2 weeks, it's time for my dear grandpa to celebrate his 71st birthday!! All my aunties and uncles came back to honour my grand daddy in his birthday bash..! cousins too. *glad glad* didn't meet them for quite some time :) Once again, we had dinner at home. Grandpa didn't want a big and exaggerative celebration, just a family gathering will do. So mom decided to prepare a 'banquet', a buffet dinner for us all! I'm so anticipated for the 'summoning' of "dinner's ready! go grab your plate!" I was able to eat a little more that time.. healing process of my poor teeth is quite rapid huh? *short-duration of action* :P

This time, mom decided to prepare the Sambal Spring Roll. Oh god. This is tempting and deeelicious. I've tried this last time and I can still remember and recall its taste ppl :P Couldn't eat that day as that was still kinda hard for me and they contained prawns!! *allergic to prawns.. what a waste!* Mun (bro's dear) and I helped mom with the wrapping process. Ok.. the ingredients are: pineapple cubes, sinfully looking prawns that is not edible by m3 of course, crabsticks, shredded cucumber and carrots and the most important ingredient; the sambal cooked with dried prawns!

the ingredients

we're busy working.. Chris is busy snap shooting :)

the beautifully finished 'raw' product. Oh.. we're good.. haha.

and finally the relish made Sambal Spring Roll! anybody wants for RMo.8o per piece? *grin*

my aunt prepared the Grilled Chili Chicken Wings too. Some heavenly tasty and juicy wings cooking in the oven.

Some of my mom's specialty include:

Sourish cucumber with braised pork

Sweet and Sour Prawns *sob sob* please stop tempting m3 you evil prawns!

A-Ha. the Ginger Duck that i missed out during granny's birthday!

The setting for the night! Mom and aunt could just do catering services for small parties! Superb dinner :)

My little cute cousins! Soon and KahWei girl. They just bring in the noise and cheers for the significant time.

Finally, after dinner... it's birthday song session once again. Gather round! gather round! Grandpa was delighted than ever. Holding Soon with him during that devoted period. He just smiled and laughed. Knew he felt contented.

As for the cake this time.. we had the Blueberry Sponge Cake as grandpa is not a cheese cake fan. It tasted ok.. I still crave for the Yogurt Cheese Cake last 2 weeks. That was 'my cup of tea'. hehe...

Grandpa..
This loving message I send to you,

Is being filled with gratitude,
Have always wanted to show you,

Care and love that are hidden,

Thank you for the provision of affection,

That was not revealed,

But I knew deep down,

For us, there are infinite attention.
Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Stay healthy and happy always!

muacks~~!
