Everyone just wanna have FUN! Who doesn't?
Beating away all worries and throw yourself into the nothing-but-fun-moments.
It didn't hit us about this place who focused on bringing colours into your black & white diary until Ken told us so. We were delighted to be invited over to discover this hidden fun place for ourselves at Plaza Kelana Jaya; which is so new to us.


The place to be: Sanook (which means "fun" in Thai)





We were welcomed by the Godfather, the warm and friendly owner who would love to introduce fun to people. Executives, chefs, waiters.. bla bla... We would say, "boring!" And instead, positions like people pleaser, chief people pleaser, chief food artist etc were used for the crew members. Cute eh?


Sanook brings on 2 concept to accommodate patron's favour.
Alfresco@Sanook on the ground floor let the diners dine, fronting a lake. Enjoying your food while comforting yourself with the breeze and witnessing views of the lake. FYI, they don't just serve typical Thai food. Sanook offers tasty Asian cuisines, some Western fix, Italian pastas & wood oven pizzas, not forgetting great tapas to go with your drinks and desserts!

Taman Tun Dr. Ismail or better known as TTDI is famous for it being mushroomed with bars and bistros that spice up the area as the night pours in especially during happy hours/ weekends. A recent additions to TTDI bustling social hub is a neighbourhood bar/pub; d Legends bar.


d Legends bar believe in maintaining an effective social control with patrons as they aim to achieve the neighbourhood bar concept where people around will feel familiar not only with the place, but also build a connection/ make new friends thru d Legend.


Special thanks to Hans for the warm invitation, together with Citygal & Aiwei, we get to indulge in a new dining experience at a bar filled with many legends. You could see mural portraits of legendary/ famous people like Bruce Lee, The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Marilyn Monroe, James Dean... etc..





Upfront arranged with comfy red sofas, a bar counter with the back area for dining, it’s a thoroughly modern update of the classic bar. Inside d Legends, there's a twist décor of the brewbar that is maintained with retro lampshade that shined through the wallpaper skyline of NYC.

Funky Villa.

From its modern & stylish  name, have you ever thought of anything related to Thai?

Not us, this never crossed our mind.

A place filled with surprises we shall say, Funky Villa embraced a bistro/ bar-like dining concept, portraying a hype of youth atmosphere. Decorated with typical Thai restaurant settings or decos? No.

Colourful mural at the bar counter, displayed with a giant screen that hums Thai melody, matching wall lightings that entirely brought out the happening atmosphere.

Malones, Irish Restaurant & Bar @ KLCC

My tiring face after work.........

My miserable mood when thought of the traffic jam that I'm gonna get myself into....

All of these just dwindled away when Chris dated me for a happy hour after work. And the best part was, it was a Friday evening. This just augmented the whole uplifted mood.

Oh. The BF misses our UK life so much.

Thinking of re-indulging in some familiar Irish pubs where we used to hang out but failed to go twice due to hot matches of the English football clubs, he decided to dredge up some memories from here; at Malones, located just next to the Apartment, near the outdoors.

Heard that they offer a menu filled with an array of pork free authentic Irish specialties to their very own Chefs’ creation. Most importantly, the bar has a variety of creamy thirst quenching draughts to choose from! We're ready for some Guinness draughts baby!
