"Remember to Remember"

Ko Hyang, Korean Country Delights @ The Gardens

I was out shopping at Isetan (praise the sales!!) with my girls when we decided to drop by Ko Hyang since we read good comments on it and most of the times, it's packed with contented patrons. We could tell that it's yummy.

Inviting odour generated from the kiosk like open up dining area that serves home made korean food.......
How could we forego something that is so... tastebuds penetrating.
Although the people dining here do not have ample dining space; with small wooden tables and chairs arranged adjacent to each other, we don't seem to mind at all.

Note: the prices are very reasonable. Apologies that I didn't manage to take down the prices for each dish we had.

some banchan as starters...
spicy and sour kimchi is always what I looked forward to. Everytime.

Piping hot rice topped with Namul (sauteed vegetables), gochujang (chili pepper paste) and a sunny side up egg, this korean mixed rice was superb. A healthy portion of fare no doubt. I just love the gochujang! Remember to mix 'em all well.

Ojinguh Bokkeum (stir fried squid in spicy sauce)
The 'hit' order of all. Tangy & spicy, this appetizing share went very well with the rice provided. The texture of the squid was lovely too.

Tteokbokki - the cylinder shaped rice cakes that were sticky and chewy stirred out with some spicy sauce. I thought that this version of sauce were not as good as the squid's sauce as it was kinda bland. However, I enjoyed the chewy texture of Tteokbokki!

Kimchi jeon was crispy and when dipped into the tangy sauce, which was a wee bit sourish, you'll yearn for more as it's very appetizing.

Our mission to go for dessert next failed. No more room even if we longed for it.
A short post to share as I've to rush off again. Bye!

there are 2 grouses:
1) I prefer my bibimbap to be served in hot stone bowl instead of stainless steel
2) the side dishes are quite limited compared to other Korean restaurants.. luckily kimchi is served :)
about the price, it's generally cheaper compared to other Korean restaurants out there... agree!

I had the bibimbap there last week, due to your recommendation. :) I think the price was RM15.90 or something. I quite liked it, but Saucer thought he could get something better on other Korean restaurant for that price. :(
