Bali Day 4: Pasar Seni Sukawati, Kintamani, Pura Tirta Empul & Tegalalang

Continued from Bali Day 3......

After enjoying our beauty sleep at Green Field, Ubud, we continued our last day itinerary. Time just swift by quicker especially when you're on a holiday.

Our Day 4 was spent on more last minute shopping & more sight seeing.

#1 Shopping at Pasar Seni Sukawati
Travelling to Ubud, be it the mountain areas of Bali or to the East coast of the island, you will inevitably pass through the market town of Sukawati. We would say it would be a smart choice to shop here as most of the items you buy on the streets of Kuta, Legian or Seminyak originated from here.

Paintings, wood carvings, girls' accessories e.g bags, blings or sandals, you could bargain down to a very surprising price :)

#2 Kintamani Batur Lake & Volcano
Kintamani is one of the favorite tourist destinations in Bali and a 'must-see place' with the active volcano of mount Batur and beautiful lake. That's what we know before heading there. Sadly, we were caught in a heavy rain and this made our exciting intention of enjoying the captivating view while enjoying our lunch quite a disappointing one.

Mount Batur was relatively 'hugged' with fog.
Nonetheless, we still took tons of photos. (in hope the fog would run off)

Day 4 (25.048

Lunch at the veranda of the restaurant while being brushed by cold air was relaxing. There was a stretch of restaurants along the road which serve buffet. Btw, you can even bargain the price for each pax!

Buffet Lunch was just passable with around RM30-40 per pax.

#3 Pura Tirta Empul, Tampaksiring
Pura Tirta Empal which means Temple of the Holy Water is located at Tampaksiring, somewhere in beteween Kintamani and Ubud.
Rested in this temple, there lies a sacred spring which is said to have curative properties. For more than a thousand years, Balinese worshipers have been drawn to Pura Tirta Empul and this tradition continues until today.

#4 Tegalalang
Tegalalang is located in Ubud and you'll 'aww' when you see the gorgeous rice terrace for yourself. Green terrace as background for some picture perfect moments. Because of the abundance in wooden carvings that are displayed along the road, driving along this stretch guarantees you are in Tegalalang as this place is famous for it.
